Alison Freels

Small town girl in the "big city", Alison spent her childhood years in the nearby town of Danville. From there she jumped from a high school graduating class of less than 150 students to the University of Kentucky and graduated with a class of over 3000. During college, she found she also enjoyed taking classes that focused on business decisions and management as well as technology leading to a bachelor of science in telecommunication and a minor in business. During the summer of her senior year of college, she worked her first administrative style position as both a part time Administrative Assistant/Event Organizer at the Heart of Danville, a non profit program designed to improve all aspects of the business district and as an intern at the Hometown Radio Network of Danville. Alison now spends her days working at Video Editing Services as the office manager. She is the path of order in a chaos of creativity.

Ryan Rivard

Ryan Rivard graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Telecommunications and a B.A. in English. Always interested in Film production, Ryan began writing scripts and making short films while he was still in college. Shortly after graduating, Ryan began work at WLEX-TV as a news photographer and was quickly exposed to the wide world of broadcast production. While working there he honed his skills as a videographer and editor, but also learned the "behind the scenes" operations as well. Ryan could always be counted on if there was a problem or if he had to fill in for a position that he didn't normally work on a regular basis. After four years in TV production, Ryan moved on to the Media Collaboratory, to both produce video pieces with more care than an nightly newscast, and to further his video education. He is most proud of his piece "The Lucille C. Little Center for Educational Arts" because it raised $1 Million to fund the renovation of a building to turn it into a practice hall for children all over Lexington. Ryan also works closely with the University of Kentucky, providing video for the UK Hospital, UK Healthcare, the Sanders Brown Center on Aging, as well as editing VNR packages for the UK Wildcats Basketball home games

Paul Mojonnier

Paul Mojonnier studied Media Communications at Asbury College in Wilmore, KY, and graduated with an emphasis in Film and Production. He started his career at WTVQ in Lexington as a video editor before being promoted to Photojournalist. In the six plus years he spent in news Paul was recognized for his work with two Emmy Awards, a Society for Professional Journalists Green Eyeshade Award, and he was named the 2007 Photographer Of The Year for Region 4 of the National Press Photographers Association. Paul left news to join the Media Collaboratory in order to put the storytelling skills he learned along the way to better use, creating pieces that people can enjoy and use towards specific purposes.
